Scott Tucker’s 2011 Le Mans Podium Finish

After founding the Level 5 Motorsports team in 2008, Tucker has predominately focused on competing in the American Le Mans Series, forming a wonderful driving partnership with teammate Christophe Bouchut.

In 2010, Tucker and the Level 5 Motorsports team were featured in a documentary movie titled “Daytona Dream” which chronicled the team’s preparation and participation in the 2010 Rolex 24 at Daytona. The stunning movie offers race fans the chance to get a first hand look at the intensity and excitement involved in competing during the grueling 24 hour endurance test.

In the field of motor racing, Scott was a relatively late starter. He was in his mid 40s when he entered the Ferrari challenge in 2006, and was victorious twice in 2006 in the SCCA national class before going on to race in the IMSA and IMSA Lites championships. Since then, Tucker has gone on to become a five time national driving champion and has recorded more than 90 career victories (see full bio here).

In 2012, Tucker earned a third American Le Mans Series driver championship by once again claiming the LMP2 title.

No driver in the 14 year history of the series has ever won three consecutive driver championships.

2012 also found Tucker winning the IMSA Cooper Tire Prototype Lites L2 championship.  The KC native also earned the distinction of being the first racer to break the two-minute lap barrier at Road America on his way to winning two other SCCA National championship titles.

In what promises to be an extremely busy racing season, 2013 will also see Tucker return to compete in the LMP2 class in the ALMS. After a strong start with a win at the 12 Hours of Sebring.  Tucker will also be crossing the Atlantic Ocean to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France.

After making his debut in 2010 driving for the German Kolles team in a diesel powered Audi R10, Tucker returned in 2011 with Level 5 Motorsports and claimed a sensational podium finish alongside co-drivers Christophe Bouchut and João Barbosa in their Lola B11/80.
